FAQs

What is True Revenue and what is it good for?

True Revenue supports restaurants to better manage and scale their delivery business via a financial services solution custom-tailored to consolidate and reconcile complex delivery service provider transactions. The new reconciliation solutions addresses the significant resource drain and error potential for restaurants that must source reports across multiple systems and providers.

True Revenue collects all of a restaurant’s delivery service transactions (such as orders, rebates, and cancellations) from multiple third party delivery services into a standardized format, and then reconciles them together, producing an unified overview financial statement.

I work in finance at a large chain, how can True Revenue help me?

True Revenue alleviates the pain of downloading financial reports from every third-party delivery service merchant portal, normalizing the data, and consolidating it. It gives your accountants hours back in their day to spend less time writing VLOOKUPs and more time generating revenue-moving insights and chasing down lost revenue. Now, with True Revenue, your accountants can simply generate a report based on your transaction data from your third-party delivery services, and they’ll be able to see everything from adjustments, taxes, fees, to gross sales, all in one place.

I operate a small restaurant, is True Revenue for me?

Absolutely! True Revenue is meant for any restaurant that needs to consolidate transaction data. If you’re a small restaurant, you likely have even less time or resources to reconcile data on your own. Not only will True Revenue save you tons of time, but it will also guarantee the most up-to-date and accurate data.

How much does True Revenue cost?

True Revenue, a reconciliation product offered by Ordermark, costs $20 per concept per month. A concept is the unique combination of a brand and address. Concepts include your brick and mortars and any virtual kitchens you might have.

Does True Revenue offer a free trial?

Yes, we offer a 30-day trial for you to try our product.

How do I get started?

Click [here] create an account with Ordermark to get started with your free trial. As part of the checkout process, you’ll need to select how many concepts you want to reconcile. Increase or decrease the number of concepts by using the Quantity settings within your Customer Portal.

What do you do with my Data?

At Nextbite, your data belongs to you. Our business thrives when our restaurant partners are driving in more orders and generating higher revenue. If you stop using our True Revenue, we’ll clear your data from our system in perpetuity. With Nextbite, you’re getting a partner, not a competitor.

What kind of reconciliation does True Revenue handle?

True Revenue handles the consolidation of all delivery service provider (DSP) transaction data. This is done by importing the transaction files from each DSP into True Revenue (either by upload or API where available), and then generating reconciliation reports based on that DSP data. You can read in-depth instructions on this in our Setup Guide.

How do you make sure the correct orders are attributed to the correct locations?

We use a combination of custom matching algorithms and machine learning libraries to assign orders to locations. We compare pairs of sequences, clean the data, and ignore words that create false positives in order to give every location a confidence score. You can quickly confirm all mappings or change any you believe are inaccurate. If you want us to auto-confirm mappings over a certain confidence score threshold (i.e. 90%), you can adjust your settings, and we’ll auto-confirm for you. You can update mappings at any time.

What third-party delivery services do you support?

We’ve taken great care to make sure the providers supported have been thoroughly tested and guarantee the most up-to-date and accurate data. Our API integrations with Doordash and Uber Eats allow us to automatically sync transaction data on a daily basis so that there’s never a gap in data. Our DSP file importer ensures that data from all DSPs is mapped correctly, and guarantees all calculations are precise. True Revenue currently supports:

  • Doordash (Direct API integrated)
  • UberEats (Direct API integrated)
  • GrubHub
  • Bitesquad
  • Waitr

We are continually adding more providers to the platform. If you have a particular provider you would like us to consider please reach out to truerevenue@nextbite.io

How do your direct API connections work?

We’ve developed partnerships with DoorDash and UberEats to access the necessarily financial data for reconciliation via API. After you connect your credentials, we’ll safely and automatically pull the financial data every day to give you the most up to date data you need. To get started on the API, submit your UberEats and DoorDash store IDs within the product.

Do I have to use API connection?

No, some customers may prefer to upload files on their own for better point-in-time reconciliation. If that’s the case, feel free to upload the files manually at whatever cadence you want.

Does True Revenue handle bank reconciliation or POS reconciliation?

As of today, True Revenue only handles DSP reconciliation, but we’re actively exploring POS and bank reconciliation functionality. If you would like to have early access to these features or have a POS you would like us to consider please reach out to truerevenue@nextbite.io

How can I organize my reports?

One of the great parts of True Revenue is being able to organize your concepts and data however you’d like. You can add tags to your concepts (for things like region, pricing tier, brand, performance, etc.) and run reports for concepts that meet any of that criteria. You can drill down even further by adding multiple levels of criteria to your reports, such as “concepts in X tag” and “concepts starting with “X.” You can name each of your reports, and can always view your report history to re-download any older reports.

How many tags can I add to a concept?

There is no limit on tags go wild

Do you provide early Beta access to new features?

Yes. We are always looking for users to help us improve the product. To explore early Beta access to new providers and features please reach out to truerevenue@nextbite.io

What happens if I have more concepts than I paid for?

You will only be allowed to upload the number of concepts you selected that you’ve paid for. To modify your number of concepts, use the Customer Portal within Settings at the top of the page.

How can I increase the number of concepts in my subscription?

In Settings, click on the Customer Portal link. From there, you can increase or decrease the number of concepts in your subscription.

How can I decrease the number of concepts in my subscription?

Your subscription quantity has to match the number of concepts you’ve uploaded. If you want to decrease the number of concepts, remove them from the True Revenue product, then decrease the quantity in the Customer Portal.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time via the Customer Portal.

If I cancel my subscription but resume at a later date, will my data be saved?

All of your concepts will be saved. However, we will clear out all transaction data from the DSPs after 90 days.
